Swedish Red and White dairy cattle are a breed from Sweden that originated from Milking Shorthorn and Scottish Ayrshire.

The Swedish Red and White dairy cow is a medium sized red cow that is successfully being used to improve cattle world wide and in used quite often for cross-breeding with the Holstein for improving fertility, calving ease and udder health.

Crossbreeding of Swedish Red and White with other breeds is gaining in popularity around the world and especially with the Holstein in North America.
